About Jen Long
Jen Long is a UX Designer living in San Francisco. She has spent the last 12 years helping companies like Google, eBay, MTV.com, Intuit, and PBS define and craft their user experiences across different platforms. She will most regularly answer to the title of product designer. However, designer strategist, guerrilla researcher, writer, or chronic fun-haver are also acceptable ways to address her.
Jen is best known for leading the design of the search, voice, and maps interfaces on Google Glass. At Google, she has worked on image search, voice interfaces (VUI), and Google Glass. While at eBay, Jen redesigned the eBay homepage and global navigation. Currently, Jen leads the UX work for payments in emerging markets at Google.
In a previous life, Jen has been an industrial jewelry designer, dancer, bartender, and visual artist.
Jen holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
